Chain of Craters Road

This is another look at the landscape that is found on Chain of Craters Road.
It is so ghostly and weird and cool; unlike anything else I've ever seen.
If you ever get the chance to visit Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii, do it. And take a couple of days. It's absolutely fascinating.
You could just come with Micki and I when we go, right Micki? :-)

Hello Robin,

To make it even more ghotly and errie I would have gone monochrome on this shot. Then it would be scary and the Subster would start having lots of thoughts of "what ifs"...

What if a hand reached out and grabbed my soul?
What if... aaaahhh there you have got the Subster't fertile imagination working on overdrive already LOl

I like this...This looks like a very interesting place. I love places like this. You captured the mood of the scene well. Looks like you had a nice time. I wouldn't want to come back state side. :)

The more the merrier, my friend!!

This is a location I would want to explore over a couple of days. What a beautiful shot!! I love how the colors are able to come through despite the conditions.
